Other Mountain Activities

Climbing – Climbing can be organised from several agencies in the valley. Beaudean, in the Campan Valley, is the best area for beginners of all ages. The cliff of Trassouet  is one of the Pyrenees bigger cliffs and is better sited to more experience climbers.

Canyoning – is possible at a number of sites in the Pyrenees. Trips can be organised locally and are available for all abilities and ages including children.

White Water Rafting - White water routes are found at Luz and St Lary Soulan.

Paragliding (parapenting) - For the brave paragliding is a fantastic way to take in the views of the area.  Several schools are based around the resorts of La Mongie and Bareges where tandem flights can be taken with a qualified instructor.  The Campan Valley also has unique thermals that equate to longer flights and less weather dependent flying,
