Pyrenees Travel Holiday News

Ryanair have recently revealed a new ski flight form London Stanstead to Tarbes/Lourdes airport. The flights will be weekly and will fly in and out every Saturday. This gives a transfer time of roughly 40 minutes to Chalet Hay. Not bad when you consider the skiing starts at 1800, see the following link to Ryanairs homepage for flight details.

Pyrenees Cycling News

-The 2009 Tour de France route has been announced. Again the tour comes right passed the Chalet. The tour passes through on the 9th stage from Saint-Gaudens to Tarbes on the 12th of July 2009.  The route incorporates the famous Tourmalet pass.  The following link takes you to the Tour de France stage page.

Tourmalet

- The 08/09 ski season had not only fantastic early season snow means skiing at La Mongie will open on Saturday the 29th of November as planned but the end of season snow was also fantastic! See the following link for recent photos of the resort.
