Is it correct all heating costs are included in the price?

Yes, all heating, hot water, water and electric is included in the rental price, we also provide a basket of wood for the log burner and run a honesty box system for any extra wood you may wish to use.

What is the Local ski area?

The local ski resort to chalet hay  is La Mongie (10 minutes from the chalet by car), La mongie makes up half of the Domain du Tourmalet, the other half being Bareges. In total the resort has 120km of skiing under one lift pass.

Is the resort good for beginners?

The resort is perfect for beginners and intermediates, there are lots of green and blue runs. The beginners nursery slopes are right next to the resort and this makes the resort very popular amongst families.

How Far is Chalet Hay From the Ski Slopes?

Chalet Hay is roughly 10 minutes drive  to the ski resort car parks at La Mongie.

How far is Chalet Hay from the airports?

Chalet Hay is 2hrs 15 minutes from Toulouse airport, 40 minutes from Lourdes, 2 hrs from Bairritz and !hr from Pau.

How long does it take to drive from Calais to Chalet Hay?

It is roughly 12 hours with a couple of service station stops.

Are the roads scary driving to the chalet?

Not at all, the chalet is located high in the Campan valley at 1000m altitude, because the chalet is in the valley, there are no mountain passes or steep inclines to drive through. Driving from the chalet to La Mongie is on smooth well looked after road, the the road is steeper but wide and fairly gentle.
